Job Summary: Responsible for recruiting, training, retaining, and supervising volunteers. Computes volunteer hours and mileage on a monthly and annual schedule to track cost savings. Educates the community regarding hospice services. Assists with in-services PRN. Assists with day-to-day functions within the office. Participates in performance improvement. Instrumental in planning fund raising activities to include "Light up a Life" annual event. Education/Regulatory Requirements & Experience: · High School Diploma or GED equivalent required and BS Degree preferred. · Typing speed of 30 WPM required. · Must be able to pass the "Clerical Ability Test" as given by the Human Resources Department. Must also have a score of 80% or better. · Previous work or volunteer history that demonstrates ability to communicate well with individuals & groups. · Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required. Skills: · Ability to read & communicate effectively in English. · Basic computer skills required. · Group presentation and organizational skills highly desirable.
