Job Summary:  Promotes and exemplifies the mission and philosophy of the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.  The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for all food service and customer service.  This position is responsible for inspiring subordinates with qualities of professionalism; efficiency and courtesy that are essential in creating the proper rapport with fellow employees, patients and the public that are being served.

Education/Regulatory Requirements & Experience:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.   Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • Certification in Dietary Management and Certified Food Protection Professional preferred.
  • Prior successful proven experience in institutional Food Service Management preferred.
  • Must pass the Food & Nutrition Ability Test with 80% or greater as given by the Human Resources Department.
  • Demonstrated through prior work experience, the characteristics of steady attendance and punctuality preferred.

Language Skills:

  • Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
