Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Foot Assessment and Gait Analysis
Are you experiencing foot pain? Do you want to avoid serious foot problems that can lead to a toe, foot, or leg amputation resulting from diabetes or other disease? Perhaps, your lifestyle is impaired by painful feet.
Our clinical professionals, Certified Pedorthists registered by the American Board of Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics, will conduct an extensive examination of your feet. We will examine pressure points, circulation, temperature, foot ulceration, foot deformities., and normalcy of gait.
We will work with your physician to determine the best course of treatment for you, including shoes and inserts to correct your deformity and reduce pain.
Diabetic and Therpeutic Shoes
Medical conditions such as neuropathy, arthritis, poor circulation, and most notably diabetes can cause painful foot problems.
Diabetes can be dangerous to your feet—even a small cut can have consequences. Diabetes may cause nerve damage that takes away the feeling in your feet. Diabetes can reduce blood flow to your feet, making it harder to heal an injury or resist infection.
Proper footwear is very important for preventing serious foot problems. They support your feet and allow them to “breathe.”
