In true Southwest Oklahoma spirit, three community hospitals in three unique communities joined hands to make life better for those who face cancer treatment.
Together, Jackson County Memorial in Altus,
Comanche County Memorial in Lawton, and Duncan
Regional in Duncan combined their resources and
expertise to create a new tradition in health care - Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma.
Our network of cancer centers offer technology and
clinical protocols found in the largest cancer centers in the United States - enabling our doctors to treat you with the best weapons available in the fight against cancer.
Every patient receives an individualized treatment plan
coordinated by an entire team of medical and radiation oncologists, certified technicians and therapists.
Should a patient receive initial care outside the area, they can take comfort in knowing that they have
the option of receiving their oncologist’s prescribed treatment with the personal care and support
they need - without having to travel far from home.
The Altus Cancer Center, located just north of Jackson County Memorial Hospital, provides both radiation therapy and chemotherapy in a healing and compassionate caring environment, here in Altus—and right here at home.
Following the patient’s diagnosis, and the development of a treatment plan, our experienced chemotherapy nurses and radiation therapists will provide treatment according to the directions of the patient's physician.
Our new state-of-the-art linear accelerator that incorporates CT scanning for precise positioning of the radiation beam for better treatment location with less damage to surrounding tissues and chemotherapy rooms are available so that patients may rest comfortably while receiving treatments.
