Service areas include the Information Desk, Gift Shop, Snack Bar, the ICU & Operating Room Waiting area and distributing mail, gifts, and flowers.

Auxiliary Volunteers contributed 6470 hours in service to JCMH in 2021.

Monies generated from the Gift Shop and Snack Bar are used for major equipment purchases and donations to hospital projects.

In 2006, the JCMH Auxiliary donated $500,000 to the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma. They have purchased medical grade recliners for patient rooms totaling over $90,000. Their most recent contribution was a donation of two Xenex Germ Fighting Robots.  These robots use UV lights to kill surface bacteria and are used in every Operating Room, all Isolation Rooms, and other areas as needed.

Becoming a Volunteer

Volunteers are an essential part of the hospital.  They perform a variety of services to help patients and visitors.  Being a volunteer is an experience that brings many personal rewards. Both men and women are encouraged to volunteer.

A volunteer is often the first person a visitor encounters and is a much-needed friendly face to ease the anxiety that can accompany a hospital stay.
