HOSPITAL WELCOMES HOME ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON

Gregory Pickett, D.O., recently joined Southwest Orthopedics in Altus.  His practice is located in the Surgical Arts Building at 304 South Park Lane.

A 2002 graduate of the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Pickett spent the last five years completing an orthopedic surgery residency in Kansas City, Missouri.

He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, The Jackson County Osteopathic Society, Sports Medicine Club, Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, and the American Osteopathic Association.  Pickett earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from The University of Oklahoma in Norman in 1997.

His practice specializes in general orthopedics including pediatrics, sports medicine, fracture care, total joint replacement, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery and arthroscopic surgeries.

Returning home is a fulfillment to Pickett and his family.  “I’ve always wanted to practice in my home town.”  “With mine and my wife’s family in Altus, it is where we want to raise our children,” stated Pickett.  “I am looking forward to establishing my practice in Altus and to care for people in southwest Oklahoma and north Texas.”

Pickett is a native of Altus, graduating from Altus High School in 1993.  He was the second medical student recipient of the Mac Mollison Scholarship from the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Foundation in 2000.  Pickett is married to the former Kim Roudebush of Altus.  They have three children Carson, Mason and Hailey.  Pickett’s parents are David and Karen Pickett of Altus and his wife’s parents are Robert and Pam Roudebush of Altus.

Pickett’s office is located in the Surgical Arts Building at 304 South Park Lane in Altus.  For appointments with Dr. Greg Pickett, call 477-7353.

JCMH's mission is to serve the residents of Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas by providing excellent care while focusing on
